SURNALIN RP
SURNALIN RP COLD STERILANT
Surnalin RP shows superior efficacy when used as disinfectant for water system (Reverse Osmosis). It’s extremely effective against broad spectrum microbiocidal activity. Surnalin is safe to use, environment friendly. It leaves no toxic residues and does not produce aldehyde vapors. It decomposes in non toxic way.
It is sterilant, sporicisal, Bacteriocidal, virucidal, fungicidal.
For disinfection of RO System prepare dilute solution in purified water, of 1% surnalin RP. To prepare 1% surnalin RP, refer table given on page no. 03.
Surnalin RP Contains
Peracetic acid
4%
Hydrogen peroxide
21%
Inert Ingredients

How to disinfect water loop?
- Prepare a 1% Surnalin RP solution in required quantity using DM Water to completely fill in the system to be disinfected.
- Run 1% Surnalin RP solution inside the system and increase the normal flow rate to get a turbulent flow
- For a regular disinfection, fill Surnalin RP for 01 hour.
- Circulate for 15minutes, soak for 30minutes and re-circulate for 15minutes.
- For a biofilm removal, total contact time should be 2 hours.
- After completion of contact time, drain Surnalin RP.
- Drain waste water in normal way.
- Allow it to self dry.
Disinfection of resin beds and activated carbon beds
- The resins or carbon bottle shall be disconnected from the water system and drain the water inside.
- The bottle shall be slowly filled up with a 1% Surnalin RP solution.
- Fill the bottle up from bottom to top using the right connection side. The other connection remains open.
- Fill completely with Surnalin RP solution. Keep it for 01 hour.
- Connect the inlet and rinse with fresh water.
How to disinfect RO system?
- Disconnect the RO System from the water system and fill out the water.
- The 1% Surnalin RP solution is prepared in a small separate tank according to volume required by RO system.
- A booster pump (centrifuge pump) will be used to pump the 1% Surnalin RP solution from the tank to the RO system using the normal inlet connection.
- Connect the pump to the RO inlet and come back with the permeate and retentate tubes into the tank.
- 1hour (Circulate-15minutes, soak-30minutes and re-circulate-15minutes)
- Connect the RO system to the regular installation and switch it on.
- Drains both permeate and concentrate for 15 minutes.
After completion of disinfection.
- After a specific disinfection of the separate elements (resins, RO, …) you can connect them again and re-start the system.
Frequency
- One disinfection per month is enough to keep your water system absolutely clean and without any biofilm contamination.
- Actual frequency will be set as per your requirement.
PRECAUTIONS
- Oxidizing agent, corrosive to the eyes and skin.
- Do not inhale vapors given off by the product. Harmful or fatal if swallowed.
- Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wash hands, face and exposed skin before eating, drinking, or smoking, and after leaving the work area.
- Remove contaminated clothing and wash clothing before reuse. Avoid all contact by mouth, with skin or eyes. Accidental splashes on exposed skin or eyes should be washed off immediately with plenty of water.
- Wear suitable protective clothing (e.g. aprons, coveralls, complete footwear, etc.), chemical resistant gloves (e.g. nitrile or butyl rubber) and face protection (e.g. face shield, goggles, mask, etc.) when handling the concentrate and during application of product.
- When applying product by spraying or fogging, wear chemical resistant respirator.
- Do not remain in treated areas. Ensure proper ventilation after sealed areas have been treated. Do not contaminate food, feed or water troughs.
- Any treated surface or utensils that may contact food or feed products should be washed thoroughly with potable water after disinfection and before reuse.
